LibraryThing is a social web site that has nearly half a million users and is home to more tags than any website on the Internet. That includes big ol' Amazon! LT has over 10 million tags, all added one at a time by users -- sometimes for reasons known only to them. The aggregation of those tags, however, is pretty remarkable and gives great reading suggestions.

I was actually in the previous class (March 9), but just had to comment again because I've enjoyed the meandering aspects of the social web so much lately! I've been to MeeVee, played with wikipedia, (discovered wiktionary!), added a few RSS feeds to my computer, played with photobucket, and enjoyed the PCLS podcasts on a daily basis, wow! I sense this is only the tip of so much more out there! I've just not come up with an acceptable "avatar" yet... Thank you Steve and Susan! This is the direction of technology and we need to be ready!

I enjoyed the class more than I thought I would. It moved very quickly and a great deal of it went over my head. I do now understand some terms that I was clueless about before. Steve and Susan made my entry into the internet world relatively painless even though I will not use much of what I learned since my only internet access is at work.
I forgot to leave my blog's URL

I thought the class was very enjoyable, but I also felt a little overwhelmed by all the info! By the time I left my brain was swimming. At least I feel a little more up to date on the current uses of the web, even if I'm not really comfortable using them yet. Thanks for a great class Steve and Susan.

The class was not only informative, but lots of fun! I ended up listing both of my dogs on Dogster as well as creating my blog.
